About me

I am a physical oceanographer with a passion for understanding the driving forces of ocean circulation and how the ocean-atmosphere system is responding to climate change. The sea is vital to our planet, covering over 70% of our Earth's surface, it provides us with valuable natural resources in addition to moderating our climate. Yet despite its importance, very little is known about this life-giving body of water, and what is known is poorly communicated to humanity. This is what I want to change. I want to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with others, and in doing so I hope to inspire people to conserve this vital resource. I love the physics of the ocean; the dynamics of how the ocean works is absolutely fascinating. My dream is to share this with society and teach people how cool the sea is.
